Andrew Williamson is an agricultural lawyer at Mishcon de Reya, concentrating on the sale of many kinds of agricultural land, tenancy issues, equine facilities, succession and tax planning.
Recent years have seen a good deal of upheaval in the farming economy, including radical regulatory and subsidy changes, resulting in fluctuating land values. ‘There are pockets of activity, with the right land commanding high prices,’ he tells Spear’s.
Williamson read land economy at the University of Cambridge; this was followed by a stint in the civil service before he joined Taylor Vinters as a trainee solicitor. Taylor Vinters became part of the Mishcon group in 2023, bolstering its rural property expertise.
