Spear’s Review
Kate Clark took on the mantle of head of family at Mishcon de Reya in 2024. She tells Spear’s that she has taken on the challenge head-on: ‘Family law seems to have, and has had historically, these big personalities, but the people that are coming through now have quite a different style. My approach is collaborative and transparent, and I want to raise up those around me. It’s the team target [that matters].’
Clark joined the family team at Mishcon de Reya in 2014 and was made partner in 2021. She has a reputation for her straight-talking, honest and pragmatic approach to delivering advice. One top solicitor describes Clark as ‘a real star’, adding that she is ‘engaging, efficient and excellent’.
Having trained at Fisher Meredith, Clark had successful spells at Speechly Bircham (now Charles Russell Speechlys) and Irwin Mitchell before joining Mishcon.
