As head of Mishcon de Reya’s private wealth and tax group, Charlie Sosna provides expert advice on tax, trust and wealth structuring matters. He has won praise from clients and peers alike for his astute approach and excellent client manner.
He is particularly well known for his work in advising clients with close connections to Asia. Notable recent cases include advising a Chinese UHNWI on their UK tax and estate planning, including how to structure the purchase and ownership of a very high-value UK residential property.
He also has advised the trustee of an offshore ‘excluded property’ trust with a very substantial UK property portfolio on restructuring the trust, and supported a Middle Eastern UHNWI with offshore structuring for the purchase and development of land in the Middle East.
