Spear’s Review
Laura Harper joined Kingsley Napley in 2021 as part of the firm’s initiative to expand its private client offering. ‘They wanted to be able to offer a full service in terms of personal tax advice,’ she says.
A consultant at the firm, Harper’s primary focus is on ‘clients coming into the UK, looking at their assets, and wondering what their tax liability is likely to be’. She helps them structure their assets on moving to the UK, as well as ‘more basic private client work’ such as wills and trusts. She describes the split as ‘a nice range’ of tax-related work ‘without losing touch with the private client side’.
Many of her clients are business owners who are moving themselves, their families or their employees to the UK. All have ‘considerable wealth’.
