Charles Richardson leads Kingsley Napley’s landed estates practice, helping clients with their tax affairs – including inheritance tax mitigation, trust structuring and other estate and succession planning matters. ‘My specialism, I like to say, is sitting around the boardroom table, having those discussions with the owner group,’ he tells Spear’s. 

Richardson joined in 2022 from Hunters to expand Kingsley Napley’s offering to entrepreneurs and those seeking development and renewables on their land. Now, his client base consists of HNW and UHNW families, as well as landowners, of whom some have international interests. He says that his clients appreciate the breadth of expertise afforded to them. 

‘We can do virtually everything that an individual client or trustee needs within my practice area, so we don’t need to refer outside the firm,’ he says.
