With clients including politicians, celebrities and corporates, as well as newspapers and broadcasters, Kingsley Napley’s Helen Morris has specialised in media litigation since 2002. Her work includes acting for both claimants and defendants in high-profile defamation, privacy and harassment cases, including obtaining and challenging injunctions.

Notable cases include acting for a former prime minister in a data protection and libel claim; representing a financial services company threatened with inclusion in a prime-time television programme; and supporting a well-known actress seeking to challenge inaccurate media stories. The latter cases resulted in the item being omitted from the broadcast and the articles being removed.

Morris frequently advises on complaints to the press regulator IPSO on the grounds of inaccuracy and press harassment.
