John Young is a partner in the corporate, commercial and finance team at Kingsley Napley. He provides advice on a wide range of corporate matters, from UK and international acquisitions to business structuring and restructuring, as well as non-contentious Financial Conduct Authority issues. He is a notable figure in the corporate law world and is known for M&A deals worth up to £50 million.

Young has a particular specialism in dealing with the needs of entrepreneurs, high-growth start-ups and scale-ups, and family businesses. He advises them ‘throughout their life cycle – from start-up through to listing and beyond’. In addition, Young is versed in the UK regulatory treatment of cryptocurrencies and on fundraising via initial coin offerings.

Prior to joining Kingsley Napley in 2020, Young held roles at Mishcon de Reya and JMW Solicitors.
