An immigration lawyer with three decades of experience, Sharmila Mehta describes her role as ‘looking after a range of private wealth international clients and large corporations’.

A partner at Keystone Law since 2020, Mehta works with senior executives offered high-flying roles in the UK, as well as multinational companies, family offices, figures in the public eye and an increasing roster of Middle Eastern clients, including royalty. As such, she is adept at assisting with the complexities of all manner of entry routes including global talent visas, EU settlement and UK citizenship applications. 

Mehta previously worked at Farrer & Co as senior counsel and as a partner at Magrath Sheldrick, where she jointly led a team of 35. A former chair of the Law Society’s Immigration Law Committee, she often works in association with the Home Office on sensitive matters.
