Keystone Law partner Emma Harte has won her clients’ loyalty by being ‘firm but understanding’.

‘I think about where we need to get to and the best way to get there, which isn’t always by steaming in aggressively,’ Harte tells Spear’s.

A qualified mediator, Harte is increasingly seeing resolution outside of the courts. She regularly advises HNW clients on their finances during divorce, drafting pre- and postnuptial agreements and sorting out arrangements for their children.

Due to the nature of her clients, there is often an element of complexity; one prenuptial agreement involved $15 billion in assets across six jurisdictions. 

However, such situations are easily navigated. ‘Clients value the fact that if they need help in other areas (of the law), at Keystone I have people who are on hand who will know, and can advise,’ she says.
