James Le Gallais, a barrister-turned-litigator at Stewarts, has drawn praise for his work supporting clients in their disputes against promoters of failed film financing schemes.
‘Many of my clients rely heavily on professional advice in areas that are highly technical and unfamiliar to them, so when things go wrong it can be a hugely unsettling experience,’ he says.
Much of his current practice involves representing clients in disputes related to tax, financial and investment advice. Le Gallais has handled commercial fraud claims, as well as numerous other corporate disputes. Recent work includes helping companies seek redress for substantial fraud, as well as the high-profile Kazakhstan Kagazy v Zhunus litigation.
