Kertesz aims to strike a balance between securing results and managing emotions. He listens to clients, aware that they have been ‘living the dispute’ and that ‘their point of view is the starting point’. Hearing their aspirations and marrying them up with the law is his job, after all. ‘I also listen to the opposition and do not believe in point scoring or “litigation by letter”,’ he says.
