Lucas Moore
Spear’s Review
‘We are typically dealing with people who sit at the very top of businesses,’ says Lucas Moore, who heads up Payne Hicks Beach’s commercial disputes practice within the wider litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution department.
Moore leads many of the firm’s most high-profile and high-value corporate dispute cases, specialising in shareholder claims, financial disagreements, civil fraud, contentious insolvency and professional negligence. He has also, on occasion, advised on various judicial review claims. Counting family offices, UHNW individuals and owner-managed corporates among his clientele, he is well versed in the inner workings of litigation as well as arbitration.
He notes that, particularly with civil fraud cases, many international UHNWs are choosing to carry out proceedings in London courts due to their ‘intellectual and evidential rigour’.
‘We are seeing an increasing internationalisation of the London disputes workload, which [Payne Hicks Beach] is very well placed to capture,’ he says.
