Juliet Agnew, head of philanthropy at Barclays Private Bank & Wealth Management, is ‘passionate about working with donors to find purpose and make exceptional contributions through better philanthropy’. Her idea of ‘better philanthropy’ centres around the ideas of collective action and effective governance.

The Oxford graduate has worked for a number of wealth management firms and family offices, spearheading fundraising and philanthropy strategies. This has involved bringing together her ‘cross-sector insights’ and ‘business acumen’ in order to confront complex challenges. 

Agnew takes pride in Barclays’ approach to catering to HNWs with philanthropic aspirations. ‘At Barclays, we recognise that giving is extremely personal, so we take a highly bespoke approach,’ she says. ‘No two donors are the same, and that is one of the most exciting things about philanthropy.’
