Sasha Wiggins is CEO of private banking and wealth management at Barclays.
Since joining Barclays in 2002, Wiggins has held a number of roles within the bank. In 2015, she was appointed CEO of Barclays Bank Ireland and subsequently became the group chief of staff in 2018. Wiggins also sat on the group executive committee as the group head of public policy and corporate responsibility, accountable for the bank’s overall sustainability agenda and engagement with governments, regulators, the media and key policymakers.
More recently, she was appointed to the Investment Association board of directors and named chair of Rachel Reeves’ retail investing campaign. Introduced as part of Reeves’ Leeds Reforms, the initiative is focused on demystifying investing for the 15 million adults in Britain who, according to Barclays, hold approximately £610 billion in cash savings.
