Harvey Chapel is a managing director at Pictet Wealth Management, focusing on wealthy clients across the north of England.

Previously at Barclays, Chapel led that bank’s regional private banking operation from the Manchester office, building one of the biggest books outside of London.

Well known for his skill in managing multi‑asset, complex portfolios, Chapel has earned a reputation as a trusted adviser to some of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs. ‘We’ve got a very strong client base in hedge fund managers, private equity managers and asset managers, but we are also naturally a very good fit for an entrepreneurial family,’ he says.

He tells Spear’s he was attracted to Pictet because of its unique offering across asset management, private markets and hedge funds. ‘The proposition is absolutely first class,’ he says. ‘The simplest way to explain it is [that] we have a proper, ultra-high-net-worth platform.’
