A leading light in Withers’ US private client and tax team, William J. Kambas provides tax planning for multinational and multi-state HNWs, businesses and investors, with a particular emphasis on tax structuring and choosing the right business entity for US and non-US owners and investors.
Kambas has represented a variety of private and listed businesses – including family-owned enterprises, start-ups and multi-million-dollar ventures – on domestic and cross-border matters. He has considerable experience advising on tax planning for US-based real estate investments.
Outside of his practice, he has lectured widely, including at the Heckerling Institute, Yale University, Columbia Business School, the University of Connecticut, Fairfield University, the International Fiscal Association and the American Bar Association.
