Withers’ residential property practice head Nicholas Vaughan advises UHNW families on the legal aspects of purchasing or selling property, as well as lease extensions, enfranchisement and refinancing.

He has particular experience executing high-value, time-pressured and complex transactions: he helped one non-dom client purchase a £50 million-plus home, and has worked on lease extension claims involving the Grosvenor Estate and the Cadogan Estate.

‘If there is a legal technical issue that comes up, we have probably seen it before and we can deal it,’ Vaughan tells Spear’s. ‘Clients know that they’re being very well looked after, that we are holding their hand and that we understand them and understand the transaction,’ he says.

Vaughan also leads Withers’ Italian team in London.
