Jo Sanders joined Withers in 2019 to take over the London-based reputation and privacy team, which has since expanded in size and scope.

Sanders often joins forces with her predecessor Amber Melville-Brown (who is now based in New York, where she heads up Withers’ global media and reputation practice) on international cases, and works with the wider Withers organisation on matters that go beyond her team’s specialisation.

As well as dealing with privacy disputes and media matters, Sanders places a strong emphasis on future-proofing and ‘privacy planning’ for her clients – who range from family offices to high-profile founders – rather than ‘just waiting for the crisis to happen’, she tells Spear’s.

‘I want to help clients understand their choices,’ she says. ‘A client in crisis often finds it quite hard to see the wood for the trees.’
