Irene Luke is the property savant raising Savills’ profile in the ‘crowded’ Monaco marketplace. ‘Whether clients are buying or selling, you’ve got to really know the market to make sure they are getting a fair deal,’ she tells Spear’s. 

A trained commercial property lawyer who was originally operating in London, Luke moved to Monaco and then joined Savills in 2011, becoming a co-managing partner a year on. She is also a member of Savills Private Office, advising UHNWs on investment opportunities in the French Riviera’s microstate.

Luke notes that she is an ‘extremely cautious’ adviser with her buyers. ‘I just don’t think you can really give concrete advice that someone can rely on forever – things change very quickly here.’

Irene Luke brings over three decades of experience to Monaco’s luxury property market, blending her background as a qualified lawyer with extensive hands-on real estate expertise. Born and educated in Scotland, Irene went on to read law at Oxford University before embarking on a career as a commercial property lawyer in London. Over 30 years ago, she relocated to Monaco, where she advised private clients on property transactions and other legal matters. This legal foundation gave Irene a unique insight into the complexities of high-value transactions, particularly in Monaco’s distinctive and competitive real estate environment.

In 2011, Irene co-founded Savills Monaco alongside her business partner, Jean-Claude Caputo. Today she serves as co-managing partner of the company, which has grown to become one of Monaco’s leading property agencies. Notably, Savills Monaco is the only agency in the principality that is majority-owned by a global property brand, giving its clients access to both in-depth local expertise and the vast international reach of the Savills network.
