Edward Sugden

Ed Sugden, who has plied his trade in Savills’ country house department since 2013, started his career as a land agent at Cluttons in West Sussex and led the country arm at Property Vision for 14 years.
In his current role, Sugden specialises in private, off-market sales, with a clientele of aristocrats, celebrities, captains of industry, entrepreneurs and a range of international HNWs. One of his biggest challenges to date was saving a palatial Grade I-listed house with land, and selling it on as an estate with more than 1,000 acres. Sugden worked in tandem with ‘an incredible team’ of advisers to secure wider planning consent.
‘It’s a wholly consuming but enjoyable career,’ he tells Spear’s. ‘Differing challenges and conundrums lead to a different day, every day.’
