Wedlake Bell private client partner Matthew Braithwaite acts for HNW individuals and family offices both in the UK and abroad. 

He advises on the establishment and use of trusts and other wealth-holding structures, the succession of family trusts, business and governance issues, and wills. 

Braithwaite is experienced in providing pre-arrival UK tax planning for non-domiciled persons coming to the UK and regularly provides clients with tax advice regarding the purchase of high-value UK property.

He is co-chair of the firm’s social mobility network that coordinates initiatives to provide opportunities to prospective lawyers from underrepresented social and ethnic backgrounds. In addition to this, he is also a full-time member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
