Simon Blackburn

Simon Blackburn is responsible for the agriculture and landed estates practice as a partner at Wedlake Bell. Prior to joining the firm in 2025, Blackburn led Payne Hicks Beach’s landed estates and rural property team, and covered the acquisition, disposal and management of country houses, farms, estates ‘and anything legal that goes with it’.
Specialisms include dealing with unregistered land, ‘old’ (pre-1995) agricultural tenancies, chancel repair liabilities and interests arising from lordships of the manor. He works with a wide-ranging client base of UK-based landed families, through to overseas investment companies that hold UK farmland on behalf of prominent families.
He is a member of the Agricultural Law Association and the Country Land and Business Association.
