Director Grant Hamilton is a key figure in UBS’s Jersey team, which looks after UHNW locals and non-doms, predominantly entrepreneurs, financial professionals and family offices.

Hamilton also manages the investment portfolios of several international trust structures with a nexus on the island.

Having worked at a number of prominent financial institutions, including Schroders, Merrill Lynch and 7IM, he moved to UBS in 2024 in pursuit of a firm that ‘could do the whole piece for clients, from banking, lending and investment management to discretionary advisory’ while also having access to ‘private markets and specialist hedge funds’.

Living in close proximity to clients is ‘the beauty of Jersey’, he tells Spear’s. ‘It makes it very easy to see clients. Nothing beats a sit-down, face-to-face meeting.’

Grant Hamilton is an Executive Director and Client Advisor at UBS Global Wealth Management in Jersey. In this role, Grant is responsible for managing clients including trusts, charities, and local high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, helping them achieve their financial goals. He joined UBS in 2024 and has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. 

Grant started his career at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and has since gone on to hold a number of senior positions at well-known financial institutions in both London and Jersey, including Schroders, Rathbones and, most recently, Evelyn Partners. Throughout his career, Grant has worked closely with trust companies, charities, individuals and their consultants in the Channel Islands, providing solutions in investment management, banking and lending. In addition to his Channel Island responsibilities, Grant has spent time developing business in other international jurisdictions including the Isle of Man and Malta.

Grant holds a BSc (hons) in Financial Services from the University of Manchester, is an Associate of the Walbrook Institute (formerly The London Institute of Banking & Finance), and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and holds the Investment Advice Certificate.
