Rusty Elvidge

Spear’s Review

Rusty Elvidge is a leading figure in private banking: having spent 15 years as co-head of global foreign exchange at Credit Suisse, in 2010 he became part of the firm’s London UHNW private banking arm.

In 2022, he joined UBS in the global family and institutional wealth team; here he helps family offices to manage generational wealth, navigate changing investment landscapes and preserve their family legacy for future generations.

Elvidge’s largely Europe-based clients are usually entrepreneurs with wealth in excess of $1 billion. ‘They are very interesting people,’ he tells Spear’s. ‘For someone to have been that successful, they need to have taken a lot of risk. They’re very different from old money – most of them are happy with risk.’
