Rusty Elvidge

Spear’s Review

Rusty Elvidge is a leading figure in private banking, having been at Credit Suisse’s London UHNW private banking arm since it was formed in 2010, and spending 15 years on its investment banking side as co-head of global foreign exchange.

He joined the global family and institutional wealth team at UBS in 2022; here he helps family offices to manage generational wealth, navigate changing investment landscapes and preserve their family legacy for future generations.

Elvidge’s largely Europe-based clients are usually entrepreneurs worth between £250 million and £5 billion. ‘They are very interesting people,’ he tells Spear’s. ‘For someone to have been that successful, they need to have taken a lot of risk. They’re very different from old money – most of them are happy with risk.’
