Hugh Wigzell of Farrer & Co qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and was made partner in 2022. As head of the firm’s residential and secured lending practice, he focuses on high-value conveyancing, also acting for banks and borrowers in secured lending transactions.
Wigzell advises clients on a range of residential property matters, including new-build sales and acquisitions – including some of London’s most iconic developments. He describes his clients as ‘international and dynamic’, meaning ‘they give [him] some really interesting scenarios to act on. It’s not cookie-cutter kind of work.’
Recent examples of his work include representing a private bank in the refinancing of a property valued at £45 million owned by an offshore structure, securing a loan of £22.5 million and acting for over 30 buyers of The OWO luxury residences.
