Edward Floyd, a partner at Farrer & Co whose cases often have an international element, has had a busy few years and shows no sign of slowing down. 

Floyd’s non-UK clients value his ability to anticipate and address the ‘culture clash’ that can take place when the ‘blunt instrument of English law’ collides with complex family arrangements, particularly in cases involving dynastic wealth. Indeed, he is au fait with Brussels regulations and has advised clients on cases concerning multiple European jurisdictions. 

Colleagues, meanwhile, testify to his hard work and diligent preparation. ‘I am not a great believer in what others might call “blind legal instinct,”’ he says. ‘There really is no substitute for a considered approach and getting on top of detail.’
