Elena Hinchin, an immigration partner at Farrer & Co, represents a wide range of wealthy clients in complex immigration matters.

Formerly a solicitor at immigration boutique Gherson, as well as an adviser within a multi-family office, Hinchin joined Farrer in 2015 to represent private and corporate clients on matters that at times have a cross-disciplinary element. 

She is experienced in political asylum claims and appeals and has represented cases before the European Court of Human Rights and in judicial review applications, and the UK Home Office has consulted her on its move towards an electronic visa system.

Her clients include senior executives, family offices and global companies, for whom she often secures creative solutions, a testament to her deep knowledge of UK and international law.

She has particular expertise advising high-net-worth individuals, professionals, family offices, businesses and educational institutions in respect of relocation to the UK, alongside handling complex immigration matters, including political asylum claims and immigration appeals.

She has acted for clients before the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal, in judicial review applications and in applications to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Elena is fluent in Russian and Hebrew.
