After nearly 40 years at Berwin Leighton Paisner, including more than a decade leading its private wealth practice, Jonathan Kropman joined Trowers & Hamlins in 2018 to lead the expansion of the firm’s private wealth offering, both in the UK and further afield. The department advises UHNW and HNW individuals and families on all aspects of private client work, including tax and succession matters.

Now having stepped back as the department’s head, he continues to advise clients, as a consultant, on all aspects of private wealth work, including tax, succession and family governance. 

Kropman tells Spear’s that Trowers’ cross-border practice ‘draws on the firm’s expertise in real estate, owner-managed businesses and private equity, supporting UHNW clients (including from the firm’s long-established offices in the Gulf region) in their succession planning, estate, tax and asset protection needs as well as on wider business legal topics’.
