Richard Jordan
Spear’s Review
The vast majority of Trowers & Hamlins partner Richard Jordan’s clients are based in the Middle East. ‘Our work is mixed and varied, but it’s less tax-based than its ever been. Now, it’s more driven by governance and succession,’ he tells Spear’s.
An adviser to wealthy and storied families in the region, the discreet adviser says that tax planning considerations now often span global residential portfolios, requiring close work with local private client teams in Switzerland, Lichtenstein and the UK.
Jordan adds that while some UHNWs and operators in the private client sphere are noticing ‘panic in the ranks’ given changes to the non-dom regime and the UK’s taxation landscape, he and his firm aim to offer clients a sense of calm amid the noise.
