Gibb’s practice has a distinctly international flavour with a focus on Europe, the United States, the Middle East and North Africa. ‘The value-add is very much on people with two or more jurisdictions at play,’ he tells Spear’s, explaining that he is regularly called upon for his expertise in tax structuring strategy as well as estate planning and immigration advice.

Gibb takes a tailored and considered approach to providing advice. ‘An answer which is best for one jurisdiction is not the best answer if it doesn’t work in other jurisdictions,’ he says. ‘I believe that you have to have the whole Rubik’s Cube of the client’s issues on the table, even if you are not responsible or tasked with solving all of them.’
