A partner in Trowers & Hamlins’ Exeter office, Amanda Rainford has more than two decades of experience in the private client space. She advises HNW individuals and their families on all aspects of UK tax and estate planning – including the use of trusts and wills for inheritance tax mitigation. She also advises on complex historic trust structures, including landed estates, complex marriage settlements and HMRC compliance for trusts.  

Rainford has significant experience advising on elderly client matters, including lasting powers of attorney and other Office of the Public Guardian issues. These include deputy applications and statutory wills; she also acts as a named attorney and court-appointed deputy for clients. Clients, meanwhile, praise her technical expertise as well as her supportive manner – particularly when managing trusts for vulnerable beneficiaries.
