James Pavey
Spear’s Review
James Pavey is the head of Irwin Mitchell’s rural business and estates team in the UK, which covers a wide range of matters concerning rural landholdings, HNWs and institutional landowners. He has considerable litigation expertise in both public and private law; in addition to resolving disputes, he takes on property transaction issues, with a particular focus on ‘unlocking the development of land’.
Pavey increasingly spends his time performing the role of a trusted agent, whether as a principal adviser to trustees or as a go-to partner for clients on transactional matters.
Outside work, he is a member of the Country Land and Business Association’s legal, parliamentary and property rights committee and a past president of the Cambridge University Land Society.
