Shah Qureshi has been head of employment at Irwin Mitchell since 2018, a role he held for close to a decade at Bindmans and for five years at Webster Dixon prior to that.

Well respected for his practice, which covers all areas of employment law, discrimination law and professional discipline, peers are full of praise, with one calling him ‘an exceptional lawyer’ with an ‘outstanding ability to consider and apply points of law that win him cases’. He is particularly noted for ‘pursuing successful discrimination and whistleblowing cases against large corporations and public bodies’, according to Irwin Mitchell.

Among Qureshi’s career highlights include representing Sir Nicholas Mostyn, five other High Court judges and a Court of Appeal judge in a successful age, sex and race discrimination challenge to the government’s judicial pension scheme, as well as achieving ‘a seven-figure settlement’ in a whistleblowing claim against a major bank.
