Spear's Review
The second school to join the Dulwich College International family of schools, opening its doors in 2005, Dulwich College Beijing (DCB) is inspired by the 400-year history of its London counterpart. At the same time, it claims to be ‘much more than a British school in Beijing’, being international in outlook and encouraging students to ‘live worldwise’ every day.
DCB takes a holistic approach to education, offering pupils of all ages the opportunity to engage in sporting and artistic activities beyond the classroom. The school also places a strong emphasis on hands-on, experiential learning in order to ‘engage students actively in the learning process’, and its strong international links offer opportunities to collaborate with international creative organisations such as the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Academics
67 per cent of IGCSE results are 7–9 grades.
The average IB score is 36.2.
University and college destinations
In the class of 2024, DCB students submitted over 820 applications to universities across 10 countries, aiming to pursue diverse subjects from cinematic arts to engineering and biomedical sciences.
Graduates from DCB secure places at prestigious universities worldwide, including top institutions in the UK like Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London and LSE. In the United States, students often attend renowned universities such as Harvard, Stanford and Columbia. European destinations include ETH Zurich and University PSL in Paris, while some students head to top universities in Asia, like the National University of Singapore and the University of Hong Kong.

He was previously the head of school at the International School of Turin, Italy, and has worked in leadership roles at IB World Schools in Australia, Switzerland, Sri Lanka and Cambodia.
