North London Collegiate School Jeju is an international boarding and day school in South Korea, founded on the academic traditions of North London Collegiate School. It offers a rigorous education within a framework that values intellectual independence, breadth of interest and strength of character.

Scholarship is central to the life of the school. Students are encouraged to think critically, to question confidently and to engage deeply with their subjects. Established in 2011, NLCS Jeju has offered the IB diploma programme from the outset, building a strong and consistent record of achievement. In the class of 2025, a cohort exceeding 100 students achieved an average of 37 points, with over a quarter scoring 40 points or more, including one attaining the maximum 45. These outcomes reflect a culture of high expectation supported by thoughtful teaching and careful pastoral guidance.

Academic ambition is complemented by a genuine commitment to balance. The school places equal value on intellectual, creative and personal development. Students participate widely in sport, music, drama, service and leadership, and both boarders and day students contribute to a purposeful and engaged community.

Graduates progress to leading universities in the United Kingdom, the United States and beyond. Recent offers have included Imperial College London, the University of Oxford, UCL, King’s College London, LSE, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of California, Berkeley, Cornell University, Brown University, Johns Hopkins University and New York University, alongside other distinguished institutions across Canada, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.

Head teacher
Henry Wiggins became principal of the school in August 2025 after serving as vice principal for two years. He has over two decades of experience in the sector, having worked as a teacher and as deputy head in various UK schools. Wiggins also has significant experience in safeguarding and organisational development in international settings.
University and college destinations
In 2025, students received offers to a number of prestigious universities and colleges in the UK and US, including Oxbridge and Ivy League schools. Schools in Canada, Asia and Europe were also represented.

According to the school, families from all nationalities are encouraged to apply, and the school accepts application on a rolling basis throughout the year. Applicants are required to submit school reports and a school recommendation letter.
