School Profile

Founded in 1980, Doha College is one of the leading British international schools in the Middle East. As a not-for-profit school, all income is reinvested into the education and experiences of our pupils, allowing us to recruit exceptional teachers, develop outstanding facilities, and offer a rich range of academic and co-curricular opportunities.

Our approach is rooted in a commitment to creating outstanding futures for every pupil. Through a rigorous British curriculum, pupils benefit from inspiring teaching, strong pastoral care and an environment that nurtures curiosity, confidence and character. Academic excellence is complemented by a wide-ranging co-curricular programme spanning sport, music, performing arts, service and leadership, enabling pupils to discover and develop their individual passions.

Doha College combines a strong British educational heritage with an international outlook. Our community represents more than 80 nationalities, united by shared values of kindness, respect and ambition. Pupils leave the college not only with excellent examination results but also with the personal qualities needed to thrive in a rapidly changing global world.

Our graduates consistently secure places at leading universities across the UK, North America and beyond. However, success at Doha College is measured not only by academic outcomes, but by the confident, thoughtful and globally minded young people our pupils become.

At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: education should open doors, broaden perspectives and empower pupils to shape the future with purpose.

Our vision is to enable personal growth, instil a passion for learning and create aspirational minds.

Admissions

Applicants at Doha College take an entrance assessment, which differs by age group. For younger students, the assessment focuses on literacy, numeracy and cognitive abilities.

Older students are assessed through cognitive ability tests, with Year 12 and 13 applicants also submitting school reports and undergoing an interview. Within 14 days of the assessment, parents are informed of the outcome. Successful applicants receive an offer, while others may be placed on a waiting list. The school also accommodates students with special educational needs, providing tailored support through its Inclusion team.
