In one of the latest examples of a woman securing a top job at a top UK wealth manager, in June 2025 Camilla Stowell joined Rathbones as CEO of wealth.

Stowell was previously managing director and head of private and commercial client coverage at Coutts, where she made headlines when Nigel Farage went public with accusations he had been ‘debanked’.

At Rathbones, which had £109 billion in funds under management as of June 2025, Stowell will oversee the firm’s financial planning and investment management services, and continue the integration of Investec Wealth & Investment into the group.

At the time of her appointment, then-group CEO Paul Stockton (since replaced by Jonathan Sorrell) said: ‘Camilla brings a great depth of experience and expertise in wealth management and financial planning. She will head a leadership team across the business dedicated to wealth, with responsibility for all client servicing, investment management and financial planning, and support delivery of our strategy to drive growth.’
