James Goodhew

As a senior investment director at Rathbones, James Goodhew leads a five-person team which together manages more than £500 million in client assets.

Goodhew has been at Rathbones since he joined as a graduate trainee in 2004; over 20 years later, he is primarily responsible for managing investment portfolios worth more than £1 million. Clients include HNW individuals and families, finance professionals and entrepreneurs. 

A member of the firm’s diversifiers research committee and investment companies task force committee, Goodhew is known as a knowledgeable and reliable adviser, and thinks equally highly of Rathbones itself. ‘It is a fantastic company. It’s managed to stay independent despite great change, and that’s so important, because you can put the clients first, with as little disturbance as possible,’ he says.
