In 1985, George Carbutt joined Henderson Crosthwaite, a stockbroker that later became part of Investec and, as of 2023, part of Rathbones. 

Now a divisional director who oversees a large number of relationships, Carbutt is bringing a greater focus and a great deal of experience to his own clients. Carbutt specialises in managing portfolios for wealthy families, especially where personal assets, pension plans and assets and inheritance-tax-planning wrappers are concerned. 

Carbutt is keen for HNWs to know that, outside of work, he has a passion for vegetable gardening and cooking. ‘I also have a strong interest in contemporary music and play golf, though not necessarily at the same time.’
