Alex Bowden, managing partner at Evelyn Partners, trained at the Fleming family’s private asset management boutique before joining NCL in 2001. Here he continued working with UHNW clients within a boutique offering until NCL merged with Smith & Williamson (now Evelyn Partners) a year later. 

It was a welcome development for Bowden, who has emerged to become a leading UHNW wealth manager within the firm. Here he looks after multigenerational families’ financial interests and helps them to achieve their long-term investment objectives.

He is proud of the fact that he is able to combine client service with investment management. ‘The client sees the positive in being able to talk directly to the person managing their money – having one point of contact makes life easier for them,’ he says.
