‘Family offices are in vogue right now. Even when it might not be worth it for a client, they still want one,’ says private client tax partner Oliver Morgan-Crosby of S&W. ‘So we often act as virtual family offices and can deal with everything from philanthropy to hiring.’
His client base – who have assets ranging from £30 million into the billions – turn to him for advice relating to tax planning and structuring.
But he tells Spear’s that he has noted an evolution in the priorities of clients over recent years: ‘They seem to be less concerned about minimising their tax obligations and more concerned about reporting requirements and due diligence.’
