Parisian partner Ezio Dal Maso is a go-to for HNWs and companies in the aviation and superyacht finance space, a niche role that has gathered him a wide range of clients, from lessors to owners to shipbuilders.

Dal Maso joined Stephenson Harwood in 2012 as a senior associate, having had experience as in-house counsel at BNP Paribas. He was made avocat à la cour in 2015 before being promoted to oversee the firm’s superyacht practice in 2022.

Qualified to practise in England and Wales, and admitted to the Bar in France and Italy, Dal Maso speaks three languages. He prioritises client relationships alongside the technical aspects of a case. ‘You need to create some empathy with the owner and not just look at the purchase of a yacht as a normal business transaction,’ he says. ‘What you’re buying for them is quality time that they are going to be spending with their families and friends.’
