A partner within Stephenson Harwood’s Dubai office, Alastair Glover has more than 10 years’ experience in advising HNWs, families, family offices and trustees on international wealth holding and succession structures, tax and relocation. He is known, in particular, for advising UK families arriving in the UAE, as well as expatriates looking to structure their return to the UK.

Glover tells Spear’s that he takes a holistic approach to succession planning for families in the UAE, taking into account local laws (DIFC), sharia principles and English law. 

He has been at the forefront of advising on the modernisation of the region’s laws, including the laws of succession from non-Emiratis, and is a committee member of STEP’s Arabia branch.
