‘She has a very loyal following of clients,’ says a senior colleague of Hunters partner Lara Barton, who has nurtured many long-standing relationships during her 20-plus years with the firm.
Barton advises on complex estate administration and tax planning matters, with particular expertise in elderly client law. Her day-to-day casework covers wills, trusts, powers of attorney, Court of Protection matters and probate, as well as cross-border estate issues.
A graduate of Durham University, she qualified at Dawsons before joining Hunters in 2004, where she became a partner five years later. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and an accredited member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers, which provides specialist legal advice to older and vulnerable people.
