With over 25 years’ experience advising UK and international clients, including acting as trustee and attorney, Wilfrid Vernor-Miles boasts considerable expertise when it comes to complex estate and tax planning work. Co-head of the private client department at Hunters, Vernor-Miles prides himself in particular on his ability to identify obscure opportunities for clients to minimise their liabilities.

Vernor-Miles has worked extensively with jurisdictions including the US, Channel Islands, Switzerland, Panama, British Virgin Islands, the Far East, South Africa and Mauritius. He also has considerable experience in complex probate and estate administration work, advising client families as well as professional referees and national charities.

Prior to joining Hunters, he trained and qualified at Vernor-Miles & Noble, where he served as managing partner until the firm merged with Hunters.

Wilfrid is the joint head of Hunters’ Private Client department. He advises a broad range of international and UK individuals, families and trusts on all aspects of capital tax planning and compliance, UK and international asset holding structures and succession planning. 

He has significant experience in complex probate and estate administration work, being able to look at all aspects of the administration process and identify opportunities for estates to benefit from often complex and obscure tax-saving measures. He also advises charities on all aspects of regulation and administration. He acts as a trustee of 25 to 30 international and on-shore family trust structures, and as an attorney for many of his clients.
