A tax and estates specialist, Julia Lewis worked at Farrer & Co before joining May, May & Merrimans as partner in 2007. In 2015, the firm merged with Hunters, where Lewis became a partner in the private client team.

She has significant tax and trusts experience, with a particular expertise in estate planning, landed estates and heritage property, and has advised on wills, powers of attorney, probate and estate administration for HNW entrepreneurs and landed families. She works closely with other senior lawyers across the firm, including those within Farrer & Co’s established art, charity and property teams, advising on probate in particular.

She is an active member of the Westminster & Holborn Law Society and is a keen golfer and cyclist.

Julia is a Partner in the Private Client department at Hunters, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in tax and trusts, with a particular focus on estate planning, landed estates and heritage property. 

Julia has extensive experience advising on Wills, powers of attorney, probate and the administration of estates. Additionally, her work involves supervising other members of the Private Client department in relation to the full range of private client work, including probate. 

Julia has been consistently listed as a recommended lawyer in the Legal 500 for both ‘Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate’ and ‘Art and Cultural Property’. She is a trustee of a number of her clients’ trusts and charities.
