Stephenson Harwood consultant Roland Foord has over 40 years of experience in advising a wide pool of clients, including auction houses, dealers, museums and private collectors. His areas of expertise are all-encompassing in relation to the fine art sector, and he is often used as a sounding board in matters of sale and purchase, exportation and looted art – alongside a multitude of other issues. 

He is praised for his efficiency, diligence and tactical skills, assets he considers to be invaluable in the art world. ‘You need to do your due diligence,’ he tells Spear’s. ‘Collectors need to have proper agreement with dealers. Buyers and sellers need to have proper agreements with each other.’
