Jonathan Gold
Spear’s Review
As an executive director at W1M (the business formed from the 2024 merger of Waverton Investment Management and London & Capital), Jonathan Gold is responsible for providing integrated wealth management services to HNWs, UHNWs and trusts, with a number of high-profile individuals on the books.
Much of Gold’s client base has some form of connection to the US, whether it is American families with UK interests, or vice versa.
‘A lot of my work surrounds the coordination of global assets, creating an integrated plan and the simplification of clients’ tax complexity,’ he tells Spear’s.
The wealth manager notes that many of these US-centric clients are looking to diversify their investments against rising geopolitical tension, both at home and further afield.
‘If you think of people as squirrels burrowing their nuts away for a rainy day, they are looking at new trees and new forests,’ he says.
