‘My role is to investigate, diagnose and treat a wide range of digestive disorders and gastroenterological problems,’ says consultant gastroenterologist Dr Sean Preston, a founding member of London Digestive Health, part of HCA Healthcare, and medical director at The Princess Grace Hospital.

Patients often come to Preston after spending months seeing other doctors without a diagnosis. ‘Having more time with my patients allows me a better understanding of their symptoms, helping me choose the most clinically appropriate tests and examinations.’ 

His practice includes treatment of heartburn, Barrett’s oesophagus and irritable bowel syndrome, in addition to diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy of the oesophagus, stomach and colon. He aims to use a combination of dietary adjustments and pre- and probiotics to achieve healthy bowel conditions for his patients.
