Spear’s Review

Myles Smith is a consultant surgical oncologist and general surgeon, practising at The Royal Marsden Hospital and The Lister Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare. He frequently advises on issues relating to skin cancer surgery, diagnoses of lumps, rare cancers, melanoma, pelvic tumours, appendicitis and soft tissue sarcoma. 

Board certified in surgical oncology, Smith received his PhD at the University of Cork in Ireland and subsequently undertook his training as a fellow at the University of Toronto, specialising in general surgical oncology. 

With an interest in robotic surgery – a new field in medicine which allows for greater surgical precision – he is often praised by patients for his expert and forward-thinking approach.
